Architect Engineer MSc
Holds a post-graduate degree in Architecture _NTUA Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) Member of the Greek Association of Architects (SADAS) My academic qualifications consist of a first degree in decorative arts (four-year studies), an MSc degree in architecture (five-year studies), and a postgraduate diploma in landscape architecture and urban design (two-year program). I obtained a license to practice and became a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Greek Association of Architects in 1999. My professional experience includes architectural building projects and special architectural studies (design of interior and exterior spaces, monuments, and restoration and maintenance of traditional buildings, settlements, and landscapes). This has been validated by an official certificate-diploma (class B) I was granted in 2009 by the Greek Ministry of Urban Planning and Public Works for my first ten years of experience in the above categories of works. Namely, I have been involved as the main team member or project leader in small, medium, and large-scale architectural projects and studies of private and public buildings. My experience in public buildings refers to studies for town halls, museums and cultural complexes, faculty schools, research centers, and monument visitor/exhibition centers. My experience in private buildings includes the design and implementation of (a) a large residential and commercial complex as well as apartment buildings, houses, and shops in the urban and semi-urban environment; (b) a large vacation settlement in the natural environment; and (c) a small country-house complex in a natural and culturally protected landscape. I use contemporary theories of landscape and urban environment analysis and methods of architectural design, always taking into account the cultural aspect of manmade spaces and places. These theories and methods are also the subject of my Ph.D. research, currently undertaken at the Athens School of Architecture.
